Taryn Sabia, Assistant Dean for Research and Associate Professor of Research named winner of the American Institute of Architecture Students Educator Impact Honor Award
Each year, the American Institute of Architecture Students (AIAS) honors individuals and groups for their exemplary work in areas such as leadership, collaboration, scholarship, and service.
The AIAS Honor Awards were developed to publicly recognize outstanding achievements by students, educators, and practitioners who have exhibited an exemplary commitment to the education and development of architecture students.
Professor Sabia was selected to receive the AIAS Educator Honor Award for outstanding contributions to the education, career counseling and mentorship of architecture students; facilitating larger conversations about architectural education; continued support and involvement in the chapter’s activities; providing a healthy learning and teaching culture; and advancing leadership, design, and service among architecture students.
The AIAS community will present the award to Professor Sabia at their annual conference in Washington, D.C. this summer.
