Opening Soon: Rico Gatson: Visible Time' exhibition at USF Contemporary Art Museum
The USF Contemporary Art Museum in June presents presents “Rico Gatson: Visible Time.” The Museum on the USF Tampa campus is part of the Institute for Research in Art in the USF College of The Arts.
Brooklyn-based artist Rico Gatson for more than two decades been celebrated for his vibrant, colorful, and layered artworks. The multimedia visual artist has been inspired by significant moments in African American history, identity politics and spirituality, according to the musuem.
The event, which runs from June 2 to July 29, is free of charge and open to the public.
“Rico Gatson: Visible Time” is curated by Christian Viveros-Fauné and organized by the USF Contemporary Art Museum. The exhibition is supported in part by the Florida Department of State, Florida Arts & Culture.
