BIO

Dr. Aimee Johnson is an Assistant Professor of Instruction at the ßÙßÇÂþ»­ Saint Petersburg campus. Dr. Johnson obtained her Ph.D. in Psychology (Experimental Psychology) in 2014 from Baylor University. She completed a research post-doctoral fellowship at Wake Forest School of Medicine in Winston-Salem, NC.  

Dr. Johnson's research centers on health promotion through interdisciplinary and social science research on mental health, depression, burnout, body image and disordered eating and sexual health. Dr. Johnson has co-authored and presented on several manuscripts on the subject of mind-body interventions for menopausal women and breast cancer survivors for the management of symptoms as diverse as hot flashes, sexual health, stress, depression, anxiety, chronic pain, and sleep disturbances. 

Dr. Johnson has five years of experience teaching research methods and statistics to undergraduates. She is passionate about teaching many areas of psychology including health, developmental psychology, research methods, measurement and experimental design.
