D/F Policy

It is very important for Physics students to read and understand the D/F Policy, as violation of this policy can result in reselection from their Physics Major.

Withdrawal Policy

Students are provided a limited number of Withdrawals while at USF. Please review the USF Catalog to read the .

Excess Credit Hour Policy

The is a policy set by the State of Florida. As this policy may affect student tuition costs, it is very important to review the catalog and understand this surcharge.

You can review your Excess Hours counter through your DegreeWorks.

Grade Forgiveness Policy

is a University process whose function is to help students get off of Academic Probation.

Grade Forgiveness does not remove a bad grade from your transcript. Therefore, it does not remove a D/F grade from the D/F policy count.

Active Student Status

To remain an active student at USF, you must be enrolled in at least 1 semester each calendar year. If you are not enrolled for three (3) consecutive semesters, your student status will be changed to inactive.

Once a student is inactive, they must reapply, and be readmitted to USF, in order to gain active student status again.
