BIOGraphy
Dr. Huber has worked for the Department of Communication at ßÙßÇÂþ» since 2012. She does research at the intersections of pedagogy, performance, and intercultural communication. She served as Director of Public Speaking from 2014-2023 and enjoys working with undergraduate students to develop their professional personas via public communication and performance. She also enjoys working with new instructors to develop pragmatic and theoretical approaches to teaching, instructional methods, and educational philosophies.
Her pedagogy research examines the ways in which teachers communicatively contend with their identities as educators. She is interested in how individual and institutional communication influence perceptions of educational roles and responsibilities to engage learners in the classroom.
Her performance research focuses on how creative practices can be a starting point for theorizing everyday life. Her methods are grounded in aesthetic, creative, approaches to education.
Her teaching emphasizes creative and analytical approaches to communication, performance, intercultural engagement, and public speaking.
